SHIWEI WEI ~ GUZHENG 魏诗维 ~ 古箏

 

 

Shiwei Wei started learning zither at age six under the tutelage of Professor Yan Li at the Shenyang Conservatory of Music. In fifth grade, she earned the prestigious Level 8 Zither Certificate. Shiwei was admitted to the Shenyang Conservatory of Music as a performance major in 2004. She represented the school during a tour to Japan and Singapore, where she was warmly received by the local and her skills affirmed. In the national folk music competition, she has claimed both first and second prize. In 2009, Shiwei came to the United States to study composition and piano and has since completed two original works, a piano solo and choral composition.

 

我从六岁开始学习古筝，师从沈阳音乐学院闫俐教授。在小学五年级获得了古筝八级证书。于2004年考入沈阳音乐学院古筝表演专业。在校期间代表学校出访日本及新加坡等地演出，受到当地的热烈欢迎及肯定。并且多次获得民乐比赛一等奖及二等奖。2009年末来到美国留学，现学习作曲以及钢琴。现已完成两部作品，钢琴独奏和合唱。
